Builds Update3.3
Teams Update3.3
Arlan is a Lightning-element character who follows the Path of Destruction. His main source of damage comes from his Ultimate, followed by his Skill. He is an easy-to-use DPS and is Skill Point–friendly, as he consumes HP instead of SP when using his Skill. However, despite this advantage, Arlan suffers from low damage output due to an imbalance in his kit and the lack of strong damage-scaling stats like Crit Rate and Crit DMG in his Traces. He performs best in the early game but tends to struggle in more demanding endgame content unless well-invested and paired with high-tier 5★ supports who can compensate for his weak multipliers and overall scaling.

Best Cavern Relics

(2) Increases CRIT Rate by 8%.
(4) Increases DMG dealt by Skill and Ultimate by 20%. After using Ultimate, additionally increases the DMG dealt by the next Skill by 25%.
This is currently his best Cavern Relic set for improving his Skill and Ultimate damage.
(2) Increases Lightning DMG by 10%.
(4) When the wearer uses their Skill, increases the wearer's ATK by 20% for 1 turn(s).
This is a good Cavern Relic option for Arlan, although it falls behind the Scholar Lost in Erudition set.
(2) Increases Max HP by 12%.
(4) When the wearer is hit or has their HP consumed by an ally or themselves, their CRIT Rate increases by 8% for 2 turn(s) and up to 2 stacks.
This set is the least optimal alternative, serving more as a Crit stat stick for Arlan.

Best Planar Ornaments

(2) Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG.
This is his best Planar Ornament so far. He only needs to reach 135 SPD to gain the damage boost, while reaching the 160 SPD cap requires SPD-boosting supports, even if only for a limited duration.
(2) Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, the wearer's Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by 20%.
This is a great alternative, though it focuses only on boosting his Skill damage.
(2) Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer's Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.
This set can be considered for Arlan, but its buff applies only to his Ultimate damage.

When using Firmament Frontline: Glamoth, Arlan needs to reach at least 135 SPD to activate its damage buff, with a stronger bonus unlocked at 160 SPD. For Rutilant Arena, he must maintain a minimum of 70% Crit Rate to increase damage on both his Skill and Basic Attack. Lastly, when equipped with Inert Salsotto, Arlan needs at least 50% Crit Rate to trigger its Ultimate and Follow-Up Attack damage boost, though the latter is ineffective since he has no Follow-Up Attack mechanics.

Best Light Cones

SourceStellar Convergence, Light Cone Event Warp
Unfulfilled Yearning
Increases the wearer's CRIT rate by 18~30% and increases their Max HP by 18~30%. When the wearer is attacked or consumes their own HP, their DMG increases by 24~40%. This effect is removed after the wearer uses an attack.
Arlan synergizes well with this Light Cone, as it provides Crit Rate and Crit DMG buffs, stats notably absent from his Traces. Additionally, the HP boost enhances his survivability, allowing him to stay in the fight longer while maintaining his damage output.
SourceStellar Warp, Light Cone Event Warp, Starlight Exchange, Stellar Convergence
Kinship
Increases the wearer's ATK by 24~40%. When the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, immediately restores HP equal to 8~12% of the wearer's ATK. At the same time, the wearer's DMG is increased by 24~40% until the end of their next turn. This effect cannot stack and can only trigger 1 time per turn.
This Light Cone provides Arlan with a substantial ATK and DMG boost, significantly enhancing his overall damage output. To maximize its effectiveness, Arlan simply needs strong CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG rolls from his relic sets.
SourceHerta's Store
Moth To Flames
When the wearer attacks, increases their ATK by 8~16% in this battle. This effect can stack up to 4 time(s). After the wearer breaks an enemy's Weakness, increases DMG dealt by 12~24%, lasting for 2 turn(s).
This Light Cone can be fully Superimposed through weekly progression in the Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, making it a solid free-to-play option. At max Superimposition, Arlan can gain up to 64% ATK when initiating an attack, along with a 24% damage boost for two turns upon inflicting a Weakness Break, significantly boosting his overall damage potential.
SourceEvent, Herta's Store
Curtains Up!
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12~24%. When losing or restoring this unit's HP, increases CRIT DMG by 18~36%, lasting for 2 turn(s). This effect can only trigger once per turn.
This Light Cone synergizes well with Arlan’s Skill, as he consumes HP instead of Skill Points when using it. The HP boost provided by the Light Cone also improves his survivability, helping him stay effective in longer fights.
SourceStellar Warp, Departure Warp, Character Event Warp, Light Cone Event Warp
Spare No Effort
Increases DMG dealt by the wearer by 20~40%. The wearer also deals an extra 20~40% of DMG to enemies whose current HP percentage is equal to or higher than the wearer's current HP percentage.
When equipped, it increases Arlan’s overall DMG and grants an additional DMG boost when the target’s HP is equal to or higher than his.
SourceStellar Warp, Departure Warp, Character Event Warp, Light Cone Event Warp
Fantastic Adventure
When the wearer uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to attack enemies, the wearer gains one stack of Mischievous. Each stack increases the wearer's ATK by 12~24%.
Despite providing a strong ATK% boost, this Light Cone’s Mischievous buff requires the wearer to use Basic Attack, Skill, and Ultimate to fully stack its effect. However, Arlan’s playstyle doesn’t align with this condition, as his main damage comes from his Skill and Ultimate, making the Basic Attack requirement inefficient for him.
